For the Holiday season, Thanksgiving through Christmas, I’m doing a “45 Fall Outfit Ideas” styling series on both Instagram and Tik Tok. Each day for 45 days I’m sharing a styling video showing you how I put each look together. The last, 45th, video will go live on Christmas Eve. Be sure to. check them all out!
For this blog post I’m sharing the Top 5 viewed and liked looks from the styling videos series so we can chat more about fit and sizing.
SN: You guys have loved this series so much I’ll definitely be doing more of these type of series for you guys, look out for more in January.
The soft AF bodysuits from Abercrombie are my favorite! I buy my favorites in 2-3 colors because that’s who I am. I love the peak of cleavage this one gives. I have this in white, black and grey.
These are one of my favorite purchases of 2020, I bought these in the Spring and they’re easily one of my most worn items of the year. I even bought them in black.
FIT: runs TTS
More sizing info …. ASOS sizes funny so a size 30 is an 8 vs being a 10 at every other store. They also only have every other size. Essentially they do even sizes; 2, 4, 6, 8, 10 etc then label them 26, 28, 30, 32
I purchased the sweater last year but it was re-released this season as well. It was released in 3 colors.
STYLING: this sweater is full length but I tucked it up and under my bra to create a cropped look, you can see that in the styling video on my Instagram Reels.
One of my best thrifting items to date is the vintage wool coat I’m guessing from the 80’s/90’s. I highly recommend thrifting outerwear, it’s absolutely my favorite. If you’re going vintage the quality is always amazing compared to today’s outwear.
I did link something similar for you that is currently available in stores.
The only current season purchase from this look. These boots come in 5+ different color and fabric combos. Very comfortable to walk in and I don’t wear heels.
The dress I’m wearing is actually the “Extra Long Poplin Shirt” from Zara. I got my TTS, it is linked in the title directly above. In the photos a similar style is linked.
Loving these new boots, they’re a dark cognac with a pointy toe. Overall they’re comfortable and easy to walk in the pointy toe-ness of it all can be snug on the toes.
Super soft, cozy and stretchy wrap dress. It is a proper wrap dress. This is good if you want to give some body, show a little cleavage but still be warm (ish) and cozy.
One of my best purchases last year is this oversized Faux Fur coat from H&M. I have searched but haven’t found this style yet. I found something pretty similar and link it for you.
Holiday functions are on and poppin’ wether it’s family photos or a small gathering … small, I said! In addition to these 3 looks there is also a post of 5 dresses under $40
My coat is from last year H&M, it sold out in a week never to be seen again … it has been hard af trying to find one as similar. I did what I could and linked what I’ve found.
I was eying this coat last year but didn’t see it until end of season. I made sure to get my hands on it this year. There’s a grey fur option that I’m obsessed with however, I went with the black because I have no black outerwear. This coat also comes in faux leather and sherpa options.
FIT: runs snug, I got my TTS and it fits … but SNUG. If you want to layer this over sweaters go up a size.
My splurge of the season. People always ask if these are comfortable. These are a really great thick quality leather so they are STIFF and you have to break them in but once they’re broken in they’re comfortable.
A new addition to my Fall Footwear wardrobe. I love these, they have a really good sturdy heel so they’re easy to walk in. They come in 5+ different colors and fabrics. I’m wearing the Suede in beige.
A RULE I CREATED TO BE MORE INTENTIONAL WITH MY PURCHASES TO HELP STRETCH MY SHOPPING BUDGET TO IT’S MAXIMUM CAPACITY
WHO ELSE HAS BOUGHT A NEW TOP BECAUSE YOU “LOVED IT SO MUCH” THEN MONTHS LATER IT STILL HASN’T BEEN WORN?
We’ve all been there! There has been a time in our life we’ve walked in our closet looking for something to wear only to be reminded of the items we purchased but still haven’t worn, tags still attached and all.
When we make impulse purchases we end up with a closet of one offs that we only have one other item to wear with it, if even that.
When we make impulse purchases we end up with a closet full of clothes yet still have NOTHING to wear. WHY are we like this?!
In 2013, after losing 20lbs, purging 90% of my closet and only having a clothing budget of $150 a month I was in desperate need of a high functioning wardrobe. That is when, why and how I created my #1 shopping rule, The Rule of 5.
I knew in order to still buy quality pieces I loved I was going to have to get creative (and disciplined) and that’s exactly what I did. Every single purchase I made for the following year was well thought out and 100% intentional. I had no room for impulse purchases, the function of my wardrobe couldn’t afford it.
I bet you don’t like throwing your money away, do you?
We all deserve to hit our financial goals (and best wardrobes) and a great starting point is to become more intentional with what we spend our money on.
I want you to be great in everything you do so I wrote a 24 page book to fully share The Rule of 5 with you. There’s even worksheets for you to brainstorm your goal wardrobe!
Just enter your email below for your FREE Rule of 5 guide to get started on your best wardrobe yet!
If you need more help building your wardrobe my e-book,Build Your Dream Wardrobe on a Budget is a great tool. The 12 steps I take when planning and shopping for my wardrobes each season is covered in detail with examples for you. These are the steps I take to ensure each purchase is intentional, it’s also the strategy I used to budget to purchase my first Louis Vuitton handbag. In fact, The Rule of 5 is one of the 12 steps in the e-book.
I’m going to start this with an apology, this jacket is sold out. SORRYYYY! I’ve heard things from my Instagram ladies that this has been spotted in store, one person was able to snag an online return. It’s possible is all I’m saying.
I love a good sherpa coat and wanted to dabble in the shacket trend so haven’t eying this one for a few weeks I finally took the plunge. I’m so happy I did because it does not disappoint! So far this season this is my most reached for coat but we’ve only had about 2 weeks of cold here.
I’ve found two pretty similar styles of this coat and linked them in each image and title in this post, just click!
I love this sweatshirt, it’s excellent quality. I love it so much I added it to my version of a Gift Guide aka “Julia’s Favorite Things” because it does make an excellent gift!
Size: runs TTS but I sized up for an oversized fit.
This is a style you’ll have for years and they work year around. These are the Curve Love fit from Abercrombie so they have room for hips and butts but also fit around the waist.
As far as Abercrombie Jeans go the only fit I can recommend is the Curve Love, their other jeans are not made for a pear body type.
I have linked something similar for you because this was is Zara and sold out. If you want a chic knit leisure set Zara has been ON IT this year, check them out and see what you can get into!
This is an Amazon score, you’ve probably seen this dress on Instagram cause other bloggers are catching on to it. There’s 5-10 colors, maybe more. The knit is a mid weight, doesn’t show every nook and cranny.
While the pair I’m wearing are from Nordstrom (2 years ago), I found the updated version from the same brand on Amazon. Legit, everything is on Amazon.
Issa Chanel dupe from Amazon! Pretty much this is an Amazon look minus the shacket. This bag is a dupe and not a replica, no where on it does it say Chanel. While I enjoy a dupe to find out if a designer style is for me or not I never purchase replicas.
This is another Amazon look. I’ve wanted a catsuit for years but never pulled the trigger cause I didn’t want all of my business out like all the young girls who would wear them to Lenox on the weekend *the shadddeee*.
But 2020 hit, I’m the healthiest, happiest and most confident in my body than I’ve ever been so I said F it, I’m adding this $20 Catsuit to my cart!
I purchased it not to wear alone with fur slides in the mall -_- but to wear under longer layering pieces like this shacket or a full length cardigan.
FIT: a lot of people have asked if this “snatches” and to that I say, “ma’am, this was $20 on Amazon” … of course it doesn’t snatch lol BUT it doesn’t highlight and cling to nooks and crannies like you may expect.
SIZE: TTS. I got my TTS, medium and I have room to “grow”
This is men’s … In the F/W I love to buy a couple of men’s hoodies up one or two sizes (large or xl). Men’s hoodies are longer than womens so you can do more with them, pair with leather leggings under a full length coat is a go-to for me.
I also love pairing them with oversized sweats or these camo pants. I’ve worn a version of this outfit to Target more times than I can count.
Another men’s item. This exact pair was thrifted but UO has them as well. FYI: the style at UO is called “renewed” which mean’s they’re second hand.
SIZE: this is a tough one because these are actual military pants. No two pairs are the same because they’re tailored to fit the original owner. The tags in a lot of them are gone or worn down so you can’t see the size.
I have no clue what the actual size is I’m wearing but I’d say a “large” under UO’s terms.
My favorite must have winter shoe. I mostly wear these to walk the dog or run errands which is my actual day to day life.
The mini UGG’s can look cool and chic, imho, when paired with an oversized sweatshirt and full length coat layered over. Or leather leggings, oversized sweater and full length wool coat. Once it gets cold cold I think most people just want to be cozy and warm and these do that.
SIZE: UGG boots are only made in full sizes so if you’re a half, size down.

Welcome to my first ever gift guides!!!
Gift Guides have always seemed off brand to me because I don’t subscribe to essentially exchanging money because a date on the calendar says so. I much prefer to spend quality time with loved ones doing holiday themed activities.
However, and this is a BIG however, I buy TF out of Holiday gifting items … for myself haha
I love holiday shopping and gifting type items, love it! So instead of other gift guides you may come across I have created lists of My Favorite Things that make great gifts.
You can shop for yourself or others, it’s up to you.
Every item I’m sharing I actually own or own a previous version of it. These are all confirmed Julia recommendations that I can put my name on.
This brand has strong scents and burn slow. Recommend! I always get woodsy scents but go for your preference. They have full size jars around $30 and mini’s for $12. The mini’s make great stocking stuffers or a part of an ensemble themed gift.
A best seller from my shop *THANK YOUfor your orders and support!!!*
This is perfect for young ladies that are still school age. The size is small enough to be age appropriate and the text is in cursive so strangers can’t read it easily.
Of course, this works for all women but if you’re looking for a name necklace for kids this is my top rec.
I do NOT have this one but I’ve heard amazing things from girls who wear make-up and our acne prone. (I’m neither) The feedback is this helps your make-up stay put and helps with mask-ne.
You can get any fragrance of course, Flower Bomb is my current favorite.
These make a great stocking stuffer or to add to a themed ensemble gift.
Pro Tip: I stick to purchasing the roller ball or travel sprays because it takes me at least 6 months to a year to work through one. If I buy a full size it’ll go bad before I get to use it all.
Hands down the best hand cream, it is pricey but worth the splurge. I linked a gift set that you can use for yourself, give as a gift or break up and split between stockings.
These tins are $1 a piece, the linked is a package of 8. This is a really great hand cream especially in the winter. I have these tins in my handbag, car and random drawers in the house.
This is the Herringbone necklace I have and layer with all my name necklaces. I’ve had mine a few months and it hasn’t changed color or decreased in quality. I have a 20″ chain btw
These are my favorite everyday earrings. I originally bought these because I needed a smaller pair of hoops that was easy to get my mask around. Since they’re become a daily wear.
I LOVE a good fun sock! Even if no one sees them I know they’re there and they bring me joy. These are from the brand Happy Socks, I have a ton of their socks and purchased these.
If you’re going to splurge this is IT!!! These are my favorite UGG boots I own, I have/had at least 10 pair. These are just so easy to slide on to run errands, walk the dog, etc. When it’s really cold outside I wear them with sweats or leggings and a long overcoat. UGG are true to size but only made in whole sizes if you’re a half size go down.
I buy one of these every year, I’m actually wearing the one I purchased last year while I write this. This style pictured and linked is what I bought this year.
This is definitely a gift for you, your child or a niece. I got this one in the Black Faux Fur but it comes in 20 different texture and color options. There’s a camel faux leather that keeps staring at me. Then a tan sherpa that looks cozy, then this faux fur in grey looks super luxe! I have my TTS but it’s a little snug through the arms so I recommend sizing up.
All of these pieces are from my shop. I sincerely appreciate every single purchase and your support, it means so much to me.
All pieces are 18kt gold over sterling silver so they do not change colors or turn your skin green. They are made from actual gold! I’ve had some of my pieces more than 5 years and still wear them regularly.
NOVEMBER 27 is the last day to shop for Christmas delivery.
A fun piece for the young ladies and the young at heart. I have mine to fit my pinky finger. I didn’t think I’d love it as much as I do but it’s one of my favorite rings. Comes in gold or silver.
These give 90’s Around the Way vibes and I’m here for it. I wear these a lot in the Winter because sweater weather means my necklaces are covered and I like these statement earrings poppin at the top of my turtlenecks.
This is a perfect gift for a Mom or Grandmother. You can get up to 4 names, one engraved on each side. I wear mine as a layering piece and got it on a 20″ chain to frame my other necklaces.
A really cute and subtle piece, perfect for layering or wearing in the Winter. I got mine on a 14″ chain so it sits right on my clavicle and pops when I wear hoodies.
These make a great gift for a Mom of two, as you can get two different names. I also love these for sweater weather too. They still make a statement without hanging off your lobe and getting caught up on all the layers.

I’ve been on a mission to find Amazon fashion pieces the past month or two. After styling a few new pieces with some items already in my closet I came up with these 5 head to toe looks you can get on Amazon!
With most shopping being online and shipping being iffy from some stores (we’re talking to you, H&M) it’s good to have a few items you know you’ll get within 48 hours.
Here are the 5 Fall Amazon Outfits …
BTW, more Amazon Holiday looks are coming! Stay tuned for those.
I have been wanting a crop black sweater, I searched high and low on Amazon and this was the best I found. The quality isn’t great but it was only $20 so it will hold me over to make sure I’ll wear this style then I’ll invest in a higher quality option.
These are the Levi’s Ribcage, 2 seasons old so this exact style isn’t available. I purchased this exact pair directly from Levi’s but Amazon has them as well.
SIZE: I always size up in Levi’s as they’re a little stiff
Another oldie but goodie, this specific pair of booties were purchased two years ago from Nordstrom. However, this brand has an updated version on Amazon. They’re very chic and great quality.
I’ve been looking for a maxi length cardigan but didn’t want to pay over $40 as it’s my very first cardigan and I wanted to make sure I’ll wear it before dropping $100+. This was in this years Nordstrom Anniversary SALE so I rolled the dice.
Another, I’ve wanted to try this style for a while but didn’t want to drop $$$. I found this on Amazon for $20. The fabric is thicker than expected. This will NOT suck you in but with good layering you’ll be good!
SIZE: TTS, if in between go down. I got my TTS, a medium and still have room.
There’s a video on my Tik Tok and IG reels of my putting this outfit together where you can see this without any layering.
Out of all of my Amazon Finds I think this is my favorite, def top 10. That’s probably because it’s cozy and comfortable which is the way to my heart. It’s cropped and juniors so I sized up for length and because I was cool with it being baggy. It isn’t really baggy but fits great so that’s cool.
SIZE: go up 1 (tts will work if you want it fitted)
My favorite and most worn jeans of the year. I have them in both denim and black. Because they fit loose they fit with fluctuating weight between 10-15 lbs. With quarantine my waistline has def tested this theory haha
Long story short don’t stress about sizing.
These only come in every other size so if you’re an odd size I say go down a size for a more slim fit, size up for a more oversized slouchy.
Another oldie but goodie, this specific pair of booties were purchased two years ago from Nordstrom. However, this brand has an updated version on Amazon. They’re very chic and great quality.
These are my absolute favorite gym leggings. I actually found and purchased my first pair at TJ Maxx but in the height of quarantine when all stores were closed I searched to see if I could find them online and BOOM Amazon came through!

FEATURE TRENCH COAT
Let me start this off with a little apology …. you can not purchase this exact coat as it is a thrifted score. However, you can get styling and thrifting inspo and I’ll also link a few trench coats you can purchase.
Every time I would go thrifting I would always see and find London Fog trench coats. I feel like if you’re going to covet a trench it “should” be a London Fog or Burberry trench. They are known for their timeless trench coats!
After seeing so many I decided I needed a London Fog trench coat in my wardrobe even if I never wore, it would at least be a notch on my style belt.
TBH, I had this trench an entire year before I wore it. After years of leisurely looking I found one that fit (in the men’s section, always check the men’s section).
Immediately I took it to the dry cleaners, put it in my coat closet …. then forgot about it.
The coat was only $20 …. but the dry cleaning always gets you … that was $30 for a total of $50.
I decided this season I was going to finally wear my thrifted score so I went to Pinterest, got a few ideas and am now returning the favor by sharing some trench coat styling inspo with you.
Paying it Forward!
MY #1 SHOPPING RULE: THE RULE OF 5
A RULE I CREATED TO BE MORE INTENTIONAL WITH MY PURCHASES TO HELP STRETCH MY SHOPPING BUDGET TO IT’S MAXIMUM CAPACITY

I went on a hunt to find some Amazon clothing finds for you guys and this was one of my first wins. It’s a great bodycon dress to wear solo on date night or layer under cardigan, coats or vests to work or during day time activities. There’s options is all I’m saying!
I love a hat for Fall. It’s that one accessory that really pulls a look together and makes it pop. I don’t like to spend $$$ on my hats because I don’t get a ton of wear out of them just because my lifestyle doesn’t include a lot of running of the streets.
WTBS, under $20 is my safety purchase zone. Target has some great hats this season for $15 and this is one of them.
KNIT SWEATSHIRT WITH ZIPPER + KNIT JOGGERS are the names to search on Zara. I tried to direct link them both but could not find them. They may be sold out but who knows with their website.
Zara has been KILLING it with the leisure wear this year. They have a ton of amazing knits/sweats and have new ones daily, keep checking their new arrivals and you’ll find one you’re obsessed with!
My sneakers are a splurge, they’re the Alexander McQueens. They run TTS if you go up to your normal half size. The leather is very thick and stiff so they do have to be broken in. … I’m still breaking mine in but I love them.
I linked a few more affordable options with a similar look.
I’m not a loafer or flat closed toe shoe wearer so I was very unsure if I’d wear these but now I’m committed to investing and purchasing the actual Gucci’s. Highly recommend these!
Sizing: go up a whole half size. I wear an 8 – 8.5 and got a 9.

I found this at H&M in store and have never found this exact one online. I linked a similar one that is men’s that I also have but in a different color. The mens style that is linked is very nice, excellent quality and detail. It’s one of their sassy collections.
These are the Curve Love fit from Abercrombie. I’ve found the Curve love fits TTS and their other jeans I have to size up. The difference in the Curve fit its there’s more room in the hips and thighs but the waist is the same so it will fit both your bum and your waist. If you’re a pear shape give the Curve Love fit a try.

I love these to wear when I’m wearing a lot of gold and or tan colors. It just hits! This is my favorite sunglasses brand. I have about 10 pairs from them. All purchased with my own coins!
