A super cool girl way I’ve seen OTK Boots worn (I’m only cool, not super cool lol) was recently on Sai from Scout the City. She wore a mini skirt with an oversized sweater and vest and it was FIRE!!!
This look is as close as I’ve gotten to that but I may put an inspired look together next Fall/Winter.
I am wearing the OTK Boots here but they blend in with my black denim.

A popular way you see OTK Boots styled is with skinny jeans and an oversized sweater. I think this is for 2 reasons.
- The balance of silhouettes adds interest and is pretty flattering on most everyone.
- Most people just aren’t that creative. It’s simple enough to put together that you don’t have to put a lot of thought into it.
With this look I was feeling super casual, I’m wearing one of my favorite hoodies. I got 10 years ago on a work trip to NY, it’s Nike and the work project was with Nike as well.
I really just wanted to wear the hoodie lol so I paired it with my favorite jeans, layered it with my favorite jacket of that moment and in attempt to be cool and stay warm I paired it with OTK Boots.
A lot of times when I get dressed I just put on whatever my favorites are that day. That’s legit my thought process. *Kanye shrug*

Currently, a dress over denim is on trend so I paired a flannel buffalo plaid dress with denim and OTK Boots. It was super cold this day so all the layers helped to keep me warm.

While, I’ve given OTK Boots a rest this season they remain a closet staple. To be fair to the boots we’ve had a fairly mild winter with only a few truly cold days so sneakers have been enough. I haven’t even reached for my UGG boots, yes, when it gets cold AF I wear one of my UGG boots with zero shame because those bitches are warm. In fact, I have a pair of Mini Chestnuts on my purchase list whenever the temps call for them. *flips hair
I got my very first pair of OTK Boots almost 10 years ago from the DSW in Buckhead Station and they made me feel so cool! I felt even cooler when I learned Kourtney Kardashian had them and wore them all the time too. This was when she was pregnant with Mason. Do you remember the boots?
OTK Boots can really sass up a look and give it a bit of street style edge. The most popular way(s) you see it (on social media) is with a sweater dress because most “bloggers” lack creativity and wear what they see others wearing. Monkey see, Monkey do. To be honest that’s why I kept my boots in the back of the closet this year and why it took me a few wears to pair them with a sweater dress. *See my bomb AF look again below* I got so tired of seeing the same look on everyone else I couldn’t bear to look at it more and on myself. That and it really hasn’t been that cold this year.
