If you want this set you better buy it NOW! Adidas sold out after a week, Macy’s is running low on sizes. Thank goodness I bought it when I did. My journey to this pink Adidas set was a stress-fully obsessive one. I’d like to preface this journey by saying in Middle and High School I had Adidas EVERYTHING!!! Track sets, tear away pants in nylon and that thicker material, soccer shorts (of course), shell toes, bookbags (mine was dope AF), sweatshirts, more sneakers and of course a few pairs of slides. For obvious reasons I’m eating the Adidas Originals revival up. With all of that being said, you can see why I was so determined to get the perfect set for adult Julia.
Rewind to about 6 weeks ago when I ordered the original set in the brightest pink I could find. When the package arrived it was WAY brighter than expected, the fabric is a little thin and because the color was so light you could see EVERYTHING. Every donut I’ve ever ate right on my butt. And the color was legit my skin tone, I looked like I was nude from behind. While I had dreamt of this set for months before finally making the purchase I stayed true to what I preach. If you do not 100% love something and feel amazing in it, it doesn’t come into your home. So, returned it I did.
Well, when I want something I obsess over it until I find a way to make it mine. I want what I want what can I say. I went into Macy’s because they had a few different color options while the size selection was piecy and tried on every color and size variety I could. SN: There was a darker pink that didn’t show as much of my jiggle but it wasn’t a pretty vibrant pink. There’s also an amazing army green set that I loved but I really had my heart set on color. As always there was black and black is always chic but I already have black leggings and joggers both from Adidas.
For at least 2 weeks I’d check every website and made 3 trips to Macy/Adidas (Lenox has the actual Adidas store) to check out colors and try-on just to make sure I couldn’t make what they had work. One day I finally caved and rushed to Macy’s with the intent to buy the just okay pink and they were sold out. I accepted my defeat … for like 36 hours. Then the hunt continued, Adidas nor Macy’s had any pink sets on there sites then BOOM a few days later a pink hue was added. While the pink looked darker than the okay pink I assumed it was just the okay pink and the lighting made it look different but because I was PRESSED I went ahead and ordered.
Once my second order arrived I realized all my crazy was justified, it was the perfect pink!!!! Dark enough to hid cellulite but saturated enough to give a POW I’m Elle Woods, hoe!
Long story long, that’s how I scored this set 😉
I ordered my normal size in the pants (Medium, I’m 5’3″) I did try the Large on to see what the Medium would look like when my weight is down and they pretty much looked the same the waist just gaped but there is a draw string to tighten it up. I ordered my jacket in a size up (Large) because my butt is so big ( it’s long, wide and girthy. Just big all over) the larger jacket breaks the largeness of my butt up. If it weren’t for my butt I probably would have gotten the Medium jacket. However, I do like the balance of the looser top and fitting bottoms.
Y’all get yours if you want one so we can be sassy twins!!!
