For the first look I styled a super feminine and sweet exaggerated peplum top with the total opposite, a pair of distressed BF jeans. I love mixing casual and sweet sassy pieces, mixing the two adds an edge to the look creating more interest. Also, it’s comfortable AF. This is my ideal day date outift #brunchsohard.
I’m obsessed with this Peplum top, the peplum part is the scuba material which is what helps it hold it’s shape. I highly recommend this top.
My earrings are new from my shop, shopjuliamarie.com and are PERFECT for Summer!! I’ll be wearing them all the time, we may add new colors so keep your eyes peeled for that. My monogram necklace is also from my shop and is our best selling monogram. I’ve had this one for 3+ years and it’s on a 16″ Chain.
My handbag and sandals were both Birthday gifts to myself. I’m OBSESSED with this handbag and the entire 712 line. There’s a bookbag and fanny pack I’d love to add to the team and I def need this bad in more colors. My sandals are last season from Rebecca Minkoff. I guess what was left over from previous seasons were sent to DSW (straight to clearance) because this style was carried at Nordstrom and Von Maur. These two accessories will be on constant repeat the whole season.
Lastly, my denim. They’re 10 years old from New York and Company. This was before the quality of their pieces decreased. These are my go to Summer jeans. They’re comfortable AF and have nice cooling holes in them. lol

A pair of grey denim with slight distressing is a great way to class up your distressed denim. If you’re playing with distressing this level of distressing is a great entry level to get you started. Once you get a solid big whole you’ll be down for all your denim to look like the BF pair I’m wearing in the first look. But ya know, baby steps.
This tunic was a purchase end of Summer last year and I’m still obsessed with it. You guys will see it again, I promise especially if you watch my stories on Instagram. Unfortunately, it’s no longer available.
We just added fashion jewelry to my shop, shopjuliamarie.com so I had to get hoops. I LOVE a hoop! These hoop earrings have a flat detailing and are a matte gold the post is very snug and secure. Also, I’m wearing our #1 seller, the Carrie Name Necklace. We just added anklets and rings too. Trust me, you need one. Or two.

Another outfit curated last year. These jeans were a crowd and personal favorite, they’re still available and I highly recommend them. I purchased TTS and even with the extra 10lb winter weight I put on last month they stretch to the occasion. Don’t worry, I’m eating Kale and hitting the squats I’ll be able to breath in my denim again by next month.
Because of the cut of this denim you can really dress them up for a night out or just stick to a T and sandals for a low key day of errands. They’re very versatile IMO.
My fun fan earrings are from my shop, shopjuliamarie.com they also come in black and they have a post backing. My Initial Necklaces are both shopjuliamarie.com as well. I LOVE mixing the 2 fonts together. This mix is the “Lowercase Initial Necklace” in a “j” (16″ Chain) and the Sideways Initial Necklace in an “m” (18″Chain). The trick to layering your necklaces is to get them in different lengths. This is a 16″ Chain and 18″ Chain combo. I also have the lowercase initial necklace in an “m” and layered it with the Sideways Initial Necklace in an “m” (14″ + 18″ chains). I thought it was going to be too much but I added a basic 16″ Chain between the two to break them up and I was obsessed. It’s such a cute look for Summer, you’ll definitely be seeing more of it from me.
