I’m sure you’ve heard of a capsule wardrobe, if not I’ll give you a quick run down. A Capsule Wardrobe is a compact wardrobe made up of staple pieces in coordinating colors, typically neutrals. A Capsule Wardrobe typically consists of 30 items or fewer (including shoes). Currently, I’m working off of a Capsule Wardrobe with a few trendy pieces here and there.
For me, everything I am wearing here is a part of my capsule wardrobe. I’ve had these black ponte pants 8 years, handbag – 3 years, and well the shoes are new and the top was a purchase from last Summer. lol
By investing in a few quality pieces you’ll wear weekly and have for years to come you’re able to mix in inexpensive trendy items here and there.
With that out of the way I want to chat about my shoes for a second. So last Summer this wedge style was ALL the RAGE but to be honest I wasn’t sold. They were a little chunky for my taste. CHLOE made the OG’s, then Marc Fisher made a more affordable option, then the holy grail of dupes, Steve Madden, made the most affordable dupe of them all.
When I stumbled upon the Steve Madden option I was sold on the style. Their version is slightly slimmer with a higher arch therefore mildly more flattering. For someone who doesn’t wear heels and/or is on their feet walking all day *raises hand twice* they’re very very comfortable for all day wear. So, hashtag recommend.
