Bad news, both velvet pieces are from Winter 2017 and therefore are going in and out of stock. I bought these velvet joggers in December after full fledged creeping on a girl wearing a similar pair, I’m a bold creep so I stopped her and asked her all the details of her purchase history. Due to my excellent memory I couldn’t remember the name of the site she got them from so I searched high and low and found this pair of velvet joggers at the GAP. They are light weight so 1) they didn’t keep me warm at. all. in December 2) the light weight fabric makes them perfect for Spring.
On to the bodysuit, I saw this bodysuit at Madewell and loved it but I could only create 2 looks with this velvet bodysuit and ya know, The Rule of 5 says I have to create 5 looks with pieces I already own with any new item I purchase. WTBS, I declined the velvet bodysuit then it went on SUPER SALE so I said, #yolo !!! I’m so happy I did because it pairs perfectly with my velvet joggers for a jumpsuit effect.
Good news, velvet is still very much a thing (aka: on trend) as are bodysuits and joggers so you can recreate this look with a little determination to find the pieces 😉 Of course I linked similar styles above. This look is also good to recreate with a cotton/jersey bodysuit and twill joggers (searches my favorite stores). Those fabrics will keep you cool in the warmer Summer months.
Sandals: In case you were wondering, I picked this past Rebecca Minkoff style up at DSW in January. I loved this sandal the past few Summers but never pulled the trigger then Rebecca Minkoff discontinued the style so they ended up at the DSW clearance section. Now, ya’ll know I had a coupon so they were under $40. This style isn’t online but is still in the clearance section of my local DSW so check your stores or call around. The style name is Georgina.
